Aid Sent To South Africa
Aid from a number of organisations, as well as the government, has been sent to South Africa to help those affected by the xenophobic attacks that happened in the last few weeks.
Government spokesperson Lukas Calvin said that the government has donated $150 000 to South Africa, and has collected all the aid from various non-profit organisations around the country, and sent that with the government's donation. He was unable to identify how much the aid organisations had raised.
With the recent violence in South Africa, the South African government has moved thousands of foreigners to a set of refugee camps. The government is now in the process of deciding what action to take in terms of either re-integrating the foreigners or sending them back to their countries.
