In Amall, sport is not a hobby, it is a way of life. For the population of 28 million, it forms a big part of the culture, and occupies a high priority in their daily lives. From the traditional games played for hundreds of years by the older communities in the north (tuzcka, sedziticka), to the modern team sports like basketball, soccer and rugby, few people of any age do not take part in some form of recreation.

     With her 1145 km coastline, watersports are also becoming increasingly popular. The International Kite-Surfing Tournament is held here in early May, drawing participants from over 20 different countries.
